Gutenprint overview
Gutenprint is a suite of printer drivers that may be used with most common UNIX print spooling systems, including CUPS, lpr, LPRng, or others. Gutenprint currently supports over 2000 printer models. These drivers provide high quality printing for UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh OS X (10.6 and above) systems. Gutenprint includes CUPS and Foomatic drivers, and an enhanced Print plug-in for GIMP that replaces the print plug-in packaged with the GIMP distribution.

I'm trying to get my old macbook Air (OS Sierra) to print to an old HP 4550. I have it direct connected to a USB port via an adapter cable. I can find the 4550 printer (Gutenprint 5.3.3) but it will not print. Any suggestions?

After updating to McOsx V11.1 (Big Sur) printer
Xerox WorkCentre 6015N with FAX didn't work anymore.
Installing de newest Gutenprint 5.3.3 and choose Xerox-workcentre 6015B. Now the 6015N works Great. THX !!!
